Editorial
Omeprazole, the acid pump inhibitor, is a new approach to the regulation of gastric acidity. Its discovery has led to new insights into the mechanism of gastric secretion, pathogenesis of certain gastrointestinal tuÂmours and the development of new treatments for peptic ulcer.
